16 Ways to Show You Are a True Friend

Are you a true Friend?  This is a question that I’ve asked myself many times over the years about myself.  I've heard all my life that when we come down to the end of life's journey, if we have one really good friend, then we can count ourselves lucky.

We always seem to have people that have given lip service to being a friend.  But many times, I have been convinced that they are not. I have found  that most people who have masqueraded as friends have shown their true colors when the chips were down.  I hear people tell me all the time,  I have lots of friends. If you really believe that, then read the 16 suggestions listed below and see how many of these suggestions you would agree that a friend would do for you or vice versa.

Think about it this way.  We are all basically selfish individuals. We usually are interested in our own self-gratification.  That means our world is about me,me,me.  We really don't want to do things for other people, but we sure do expect them to do things for us.

1)      Someone who is always ready to listen without being judgmental
2)      A person that can be called day or night and they respond
3)      When in need of monetary assistance, they show up
4)      A person that can offer a viewpoint opposing to mine in kindness and love
5)      They will not desert you when the marriage is on the skids, when you are experiencing a death of someone close, a sickness calls, or some other crisis that is crippling
6)      They will lend you a car when yours breaks down
7)      They will check on your animals when you are out of town
8)      They will cut your grass when you are not able
9)      Celebrate with you life’s triumphs
10)  Call and wish you Merry Christmas or visit you at that time
11)  Will be supportive of you when a job is lost, will call and express their concern on a regular basis and just let you know that they care
12)  Will not put their interests above yours to gain recognition, or to better their career
13)  Will stand up for you whatever the cost for them
14)  Will be there for you when your son or daughter is born if possible
15)  Show up for any awards or special accomplishments that you might have
16) Will not give the kiss of Judas to someone behind closed doors while at the same time kissing up to them socially

2nd INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT IN NEPAL

IndiGo plans Ktm-Delhi flight from August 4

Fares on the New Delhi- Kathmandu flight are poised to dip to as low as Rs 5,000, to the joy of budget travellers, as India’s low-cost carrier IndiGo readies to start operations to Kathmandu with seven trips a week from August 4.

The Gurgaon-based India’s domestic airline, which announced it would go international from September with flights to Dubai, Singapore and Bangkok, can actually debut with Kathmandu in August, if Ministry of Tourism and Civil Aviation gives it a green signal.

President International — IndiGo’s general sales agent in Nepal — said Indian civil aviation authorities have cleared the New Delhi-Kathmandu flight. Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal will give final permission after the ministry gives it a go ahead.

With Nepal celebrating 2011 as tourism year with a target of drawing one million air-borne tourists, President International said it would like to see the New Delhi-Kathmandu flight kick off from August 4.

The flight will see brand new 180-seater Airbus 320s with emphasis on low fares.

Currently, Jet Airways and Air India fly between the two capitals of South Asian neighbours along with other Indian budget carriers JetLite and Spicejet.

The one-way fare on budget airlines will come to as low as Rs 5,000, though there is no official announcement about IndiGo’s fare structure.

“Hotels in Kathmandu and other packages are extremely competitive,” according to Sharad Pradhan of Nepal Tourism Board.

“But the high fare puts off travellers,” he said, adding that fares from India to other countries like Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia are far cheaper compared to flights to Kathmandu.

Earlier, domestic budget carrier Cosmic Air started the price war selling lower priced tickets on the route but cvould not survive due to high operation cost.

Everything for that small and sweet little girly in your life.

Avani meaning, girlAvani limbu

Mummy is soft like a teddy bear
I put my fingers in her hair
Even though I'm still little
My hair is still awfully brittle
My mummy says I'll grow up strong
I'm going to be a singer and sing all day long,
I like to hug my ted to my tum,
But I prefer to hug my mum.

How Can You Lose Fat at Bottom of Your Stomach ?

 Overview

Midsection fat is one of the most difficult types to lose. This type of fat is also dangerous. Deep, visceral abdominal fat cells don't remain dormant like other fat cells. They are metabolically active, producing hormones that might cause insulin resistance, a risk factor for developing type 2 diabetes. Fat at the bottom of the stomach is a common problem area. However, combining cardio with core movements that target lower abdominal muscles will help burn this type of fat.

Pelvic Tilts

Pelvic tilts are an exercise that targets the lower abdominal area. With this exercise, you lie flat on the floor, bend your knees, take a few deep breaths and contract your abdominal muscles. Lift the pelvis toward the ceiling and hold the contraction for 10 seconds. Return to your starting position and rest for a few seconds. Complete 20 repetitions of pelvic tilts during your workout session.

Abdominal Holds

Abdominal holds are another effective exercise for targeting lower stomach muscles. Sit on the edge of a sturdy chair with your feet on the floor. Your hands are facing away from your body on the edge of your chair. Tighten your core muscles and bring your toes two inches off the floor. Hold this position for 5 to 10 seconds and return to your starting position. As your core gets stronger, challenge yourself by bringing your toes off the floor four inches. Continue to repeat this exercise for one full minute, recommends "Fitness" magazine.

Leg Raises

Leg raises use your balance to tone the lower abdominals. Get down on all fours. Your knees are aligned under your hips, and your wrists are positioned under your shoulders. Slowly raise your left arm to shoulder height and raise your right leg to hip height. Hold the movement for two counts, using your core muscles for balance and return to your starting position. Repeat 15 to 20 repetitions of this exercise on each side of the body.

Cardio Activity

Cardio is an effective tool for burning fat. Without cardio, your core muscles are hidden under layers of fat. Plan at least 30 minutes of cardio activity most days of the week. Increase calorie burning with activities such as circuit training, in which you rotate a few minutes of intense cardio, such as jumping rope, with strength training movements, such as abdominal holds. Each circuit-training interval is a few minutes.
