Comedian Hari Bansha Acharya Weds For The Second Time



After one and a half year since his wife’s death, veteran comedian Hari Bansha Acharya has married for the second time on Thursday, 21st June. Although the news remained hush hush throughout the day, it was confirmed only after literary figure Rabindra Samir shared Acharya’s photo with his new wife on Facebook.



According to what Samir mentioned on his post, the star tied the knot with Ramila Pathak of Butwal. Pathak had been single for the past 10 years with a son. His close friend and fellow comedian Madan Krishna Shrestha, who’s currently in Bangkok for his wife’s treatment, could not attend the wedding. It is said that Acharya decided to remarry after constant requests from Shrestha and his two sons Mohit and Trilok.
The wedding is said to have taken place amidst a small gathering among whom the guests Kiran KC, Rajaram Poudel, Narendra Kansakar and Mukunda Adhikari.

Paras having an affair with a Thai woman ?



After ex-king Gyanendra was forced to leave the palace and live like a general citizen, Paras had reportedly blamed his father for the trouble and is not in good terms with his family since. The father of three children lives alone in Thailand for almost two years while his wife Himani lives in Nepal. He had also taken his children Purnika, Kritika and Hirdayandra with him for their study. It is told that he hasn’t returned back to Nepal for the last ten months.


According to a report in a daily, Saurya Daily, Paras is living with a Thai mistress in Thailand. At the time when his wife Himani was in Thailand, Paras didn’t want to meet her during her week-long stay there. He has reportedly changed his mobile number and hasn’t contacted his family in Nepal for the last three months.

MS Dhoni named Nepal's Cricket Ambassador

Kathmandu, Jun 17: India cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni was on Saturday appointed Ambassador of Nepal Cricket in a function here.

Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation of Nepal, Posta Bahadur Bogati, made the announcement about Dhoni's association with Nepal Cricket.

The appointment of Dhoni will also help promote Nepal's tourism industry, according to the acting chief of the country's Tourism Board Subhash Niraula.

Indian Ambassador to Nepal, Jayanta Prasad, was also present on the occasion. Dhoni interacted with the office bearers of Cricket Association of Nepal, journalists and his fans.

Dhoni was accompanied by his wife Sakshi during the two-day visit.

Earlier, Dhoni also visited Kirtipur Cricket Stadium, situated in the premises of Tribhuvan University in Kathmandu.

Dhoni is scheduled to pay a visit to Pashupatinath Temple on Sunday, before wrapping up his visit.

Earlier, speaking to the media, he said, "Youths should come forward for sports besides studies as it helps to earn goodwill for the country."

"Cricket is an upcoming sport in Nepal and I want to see Nepali youths forming a famous cricket team in future," he said.

Dhoni said that he would be happy to promote cricket here and added that he would be glad if he could contribute to the development of cricket in Nepal.

Girl commits suicide after failing in SLC exams 


A fifteen-year-old girl has committed suicide in Banke district after failing to make it through the School Leaving Certificate (SLC) examinations held from March 20-29 this year.

One Pratikshya Sharma of Gosaingaun, Nepalgunj-13 died after consuming poison, District Police Office, Banke informed.

Pratikshya had appeared in this year’s SLC examinations from Narayan Higher Secondary School in the district.

Last year two girls, who failed to make it through the School Leaving Certificate examinations 2067, had attempted suicide in Kavre district.

One, Sani Bista, of Sanga VDC-6 in the district, died on the spot after consuming poison while another was hospitalized for many days due to the effect of the poison.

47.16 percent students have passed the SLC exams under regular category this year, which is 8.34 percent less than the pass rate of last year.

Similarly, 13.7 percent students have passed the exams under the exempted category this year. The pass percentage was higher among boys (51.8 percent) while only 42.2 percent girls made it through the SLC exams. nepalnews.com
