The campaign was inaugurated on August 10 at Moksh. “Through this new campaign, Coca-Cola seeks to play a small role of a catalyst so that this effort is further energised, fuelled, and spread this spirit of Rising Nepal. Pheri Uthne Chha Nepal,” Country Manager of Coca-Cola in Nepal, Alok Kohli expressed at the event. As per him, the volunteering work has shown what Nepal is and he salutes the efforts.
To take this positive message to all the corners of the country, a special anthem of the campaign — Euta Baato Banda Bhaye Sainyau Baato Khulchhan — has been created. Penned by Ranjit Acharya and composed by Jems Pradhan, the song has been sung by 12 leading artistes including Ani Choying Drolma, Sugam Pokharel, Deepak Bajracharya, Jems Pradhan, Adrian Pradhan, Indira Joshi, Santosh Lama among others along with eight students from Maiti Nepal. It is an inspiring tune that highlights the bravery and resilience demonstrated by Nepalis. The video directed by Nishcal Basnet is motivational and features social activist Anuradha Koirala, former Miss Nepal Shristi Shrestha and footballer Anil Gurung.
The anthem was unveiled at the event. Some of the artistes performed the unplugged version of the song.
Acharya wrote the song thinking “instead of holding the past event (earthquake), we should do something and write for coming days”. He believes that we need to keep up the spirit that sparked in the aftermath of the powerful quake to rebuild Nepal soon. He hopes the song helps do that.
