Nepalese journalist Rabi Lamichhane had hoped to win the Guinness World Record for longest talk show with a 60-hour television extravaganza on the topic, "Lord Buddha Was Born in Nepal." The 36-year-old nailed it and then some — his broadcast clocked in at 62 hours, beating the previous record of 52 hours set by an Ukrainian duo. Lamichhane talked and talked, and then talked some more, to actors, politicians, singers, sports personalities, entrepreneurs, journalists and Nepalis who called in from around the world. The host ate on camera to keep his strength up and, as he neared his third full day of non-stop talking, Lamichhane had started to grow a beard.
Mountain Overland Travel and Tours have started operating two tourist buses on the Pokhara – Sauraha route with Wi-Fi connection. The social networking geeks can now Facebook and Tweet as they kill the hours. The round-trip fare has been fixed at Nrs 1,100. Quite reasonable, that also comes with either a breakfast or lunch, depending on the time of travel. This route is also expected to make travelling a lot more efficient for tourists wanting to visit the Kathmandu – Pokhara – Chitwan circuit. I would’ve expected Greenline Buses to do something like this, nonetheless its a nice step to provide more services for the passengers. Source Lexlimbu.com

Government of India, HH Dalai Lama, Indian Authors and Indian Officials
I just signed the following petition addressed to: Government of India, HH Dalai Lama, Indian Authors and Indian Officials.
----------------
Stop promoting, "Buddha was born in India" & "Mount Everest is in India".
Anybody with basic education knows that "Lord Buddha" was born in Nepal (Nepal is a beautiful country which lies between India and China: Please check the world map which has a flag with "Moon" and "Sun") and "Mount Everest is in India".
If you ask general public, "Do you know where was Buddha born ? " and "Do you know where is Mount Everest ?". The immediate answer will be : In India because that is what the books published by so called historians had been saying or the modern world leaders are promoting.
Please do little research and you know that Nepal is PROUD country with so much Natural resources, beautiful mountains, rivers, green trees, temples, stupas etc.
I am proud to be a Nepali and would request all the concerned officials and world leaders to stop "False Information" to the world.
Once again, "Lord Buddha was born at Kapilvastu, Lumbini, Nepal" and "Mount Everest is in Nepal."
Please let everybody know about it.
Thanks a lot.
